Executives' Global Network (EGN) is an independent knowledge sharing network, specializing in national and global knowledge sharing among business executives.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= EGN official web page )〕 The network consists of 10,000 members from 3,500 companies, brought together in more than 350 different network groups.〔 The groups comprise approximately 25 members who meet four to six times a year. EGN is represented in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Nederlands, Hong Kong, Germany, China, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and South Africa. EGN address people from all management levels within an organization, e.g. CEOs, Senior Executives and Managers. In the network group the members meet with peers. The network group provides confidential sparring partners on a daily basis and access to specialized knowledge within a profession or focus area. The network groups deals with specific, current problem areas and cases. The groups are chaired by experienced senior executives. The chair – appointed by EGN - is responsible for efficiently and relevant meetings where all members benefit from each meeting. Between the meetings the members have direct access to all other members in other EGN countries and across industries, companies and management levels. EGN offers an online-based global query system where members can ask questions and receive answers within a matter of hours. The network is independent. Selling is not allowed within the network, and members approve new members to ensure than there are no conflicts of interests in the groups (competitors, customer or suppliers). ==History== EGN was founded in Denmark in 1992 by Jørgen Galsgaard. The first years focus area was Finance. During the first decade several new networks were established within IT, Logistics and Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Personal Development and Leadership Competence. In 2004, Jens Erik Karlskov Jensen joined as a partner and helped to establish groups for directors and top executives. In the following years the network grew and consists today of 8,500 members from 12 countries covering a wide range of networks within all categories of a company organization.
